Who we are
Lemraj is a boutique technology consultancy based in the Netherlands and serving Dutch and European enterprises. We work on the kind of system problems where architectural judgement determines whether the work survives the next 10 years — legacy modernization, complex integration, and Microsoft Azure platform engineering.
We are not a freelancer practice, and we are not a body-shop. Every Lemraj engagement is led and executed by a senior architect, with senior associates engaged where the scope demands them. We do not staff with juniors and we do not learn on the client's budget.
We engage on a small number of problems a year and we are willing to refuse work that is not a fit. The walk-away is part of how we work.
How we work
Four short principles. Not aspirational, not motivational — these are commitments the buyer can hold Lemraj to.
Senior delivery
Every engagement is led and executed by an architect. The senior person on the call is the senior person on the keyboard.
Architecture before code
We design before we build. We are willing to disagree with a brief if the brief leads somewhere we don't believe in. A bad architecture cannot be saved by good engineering.
Outcomes over outputs
A delivered feature that nobody uses is not a win. An engagement that hits its milestones but does not solve the underlying problem is not a win. We measure ourselves against the outcome.
Operability is part of the design
If we cannot operate it, we should not ship it. Observability, runbooks, rollback paths, and decommissioning conditions are first-class deliverables, not afterthoughts.
Founder
Lemraj was founded by Mohamed Lemraj, a software engineer and architect with 20+ years of experience delivering enterprise software, integration, and Microsoft Azure platform engineering. His engagement history spans Dutch insurance and life pensions, Dutch national public-sector programmes, and large-scale national membership organisations. He leads architectural and delivery responsibility on every Lemraj engagement.
How Lemraj scales
Lemraj is a small practice by design. The founder leads delivery, with senior associates engaged per engagement from a vetted network of experienced practitioners. We do not carry a permanent bench of juniors and we do not staff to keep utilisation up.
Over the next several years we expect Lemraj to remain a focused practice — measured in associates, not in headcount targets. Reputation, repeat work, and referrals do the growth work that sales pipelines do elsewhere.
A problem we should look at?
Most engagements start with a 30-minute discovery conversation.
